30/11/2021 - António Valera on the jury for a doctoral thesis at the University of Valencia

António Valera, an archaeologist from ERA's team, was on the jury for the defence of Pilar Escribá Ruiz's doctoral thesis, presented at the University of Valencia and entitled "La geometria en las decoraciones cerámicas durante el Neolítico Antiguo: del VI-V milénio cal BC entre el Xúquer y el Ebre".

The thesis presents an innovative methodology in the approach to ceramic decoration, allowing the construction of a chrono-cultural framework for the region and its correlation with information transmission mechanisms, decorative variability and demographic fluctuations. The presentation was rated with the highest grade.

Participation in doctoral and master's degree juries has been one of the ways in which NIA (ERA's Research and Development area) collaborates with Portuguese and foreign universities.
