01/06/2026 - ERA to feature at MOCA with a series of heritage documentaries
ERA Arqueologia has established itself as a leading producer of documentary content in the field of heritage, particularly in the areas of archaeology, conservation and restoration. For our team, the work we do only truly comes into its own when it is widely shared.
It is with this conviction that we are taking part in MOCA – the Archaeological Film Festival, which takes place on 18, 19, 20 and 21 June at Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon. The initiative brings together cinema and heritage and will feature the screening of four films produced by ERA and directed by Raul Losada:
Echoes of the City of the Dead
Hole in One – Memories of Lagoa from Prehistory to the Islamic Period
Roman Camp at Alto da Pedrada
Ancient Landscape: Ceremonial Enclosures of the Guadiana Region
As part of this initiative, Miguel Lago, archaeologist and director of ERA, will take part in the debate 'Communicating Archaeology: the role of companies in dissemination', which will take place on 20 June at 3.00 pm in Room 2. This participation reinforces the company’s commitment to reflection and sharing knowledge in the field of heritage.
The programme also features a screening of 'The Cave of Forgotten Dreams', by director Werner Herzog, one of the greatest living documentary filmmakers.
This initiative is organised by the Lisbon Museum and supported by ERA Arqueologia. We encourage you to attend!
